THE COMPETITION
1 . The competition is divided into two sections:
CARTOONS (situation resolved in a single graphic moment);
STRIPS (sequence of graphic moments developing or unfolding a certain situation).A theme in set about man and his existence. Anyone can attempt to interpret the theme from a homorous point of view with espressive freedom and in any graphic form.
2. THE TITLE OF THIS YEAR'S THEME IS: VICES
3. A prize called “Scacchiera International Grand Prize” will be awarded to the most representative work of each section.
4. The works will be considered valid only if they arrive, by mail at the latest, by 18 JANUARY 2010, carriage paid. The enclosed form duly completed with biographical notes should accompany the works and should be sent to: UMORISTI A MAROSTICA - 36063 MAROSTICA (VICENZA) ITALIA.
5. The results and the dates of the prize giving and inauguration will be published quickly afterwards on the web site

6. The exhibition will take place in the Castello Inferiore from April 17 to May 30, 2010.
7. Each artist can send up three works, specifying his or her full name and address on the back.
8. Once the exhibition in Marostica closes, the works will be used in other exhibitions in Italy and abroad. Cartoonists are asked to contribute to the fouding of a “Umoristi a Marostica Museum”. Therefore works will NOT be returned.
9. The “Gruppo Grafico Marosticense” reserves the right to authorize reproduction of the work with the words “Taken from Umoristi a Marostica”.
10. All the participants may receive the catalogue gratis by enclosing 7,00 Euro for the postage charges.
BANDO DI CONCORSO
1. Il Gruppo Grafico Marosticense ritiene di dover articolare il Concorso in due settori:
CARTOONS (situazione risolta in un unico momento grafico);
STRIPS (successione di più momenti grafici con possibile infinito sviluppo della situazione proposta) e di dover suggerire agli autori un tema orientativo generale “l’uomo nella sua esistenza visto in chiave humor”, attraverso il quale ciascuno potrà cimentarsi in piena libertà espressiva con qualsiasi forma grafica.
2. IL TEMA INDICATO È: VIZI
3. All'opera più rappresentativa, per ciascun settore, verrà assegnato il “Gran Premio Internazionale Scacchiera” di pari valore e significato.
4. Le opere saranno ammesse alla Rassegna solo se perverranno entro il TERMINE ULTIMO DEL 18 GENNAIO 2010 in porto franco. Dovranno essere accompagnate dalla scheda allegata, compilata ed indirizzata a: UMORISTI A MAROSTICA 36063 MAROSTICA (VICENZA) ITALIA.
5. I risultati e le date delle premiazioni e inaugurazione della mostra saranno pubblicati subito dopo sul sito

6. L’esposizione avrà luogo nel castello inferiore di Marostica dal 17 aprile al 30 maggio 2010.
7. Ciascun Autore potrà inviare complessivamente non più di tre opere specificando sul retro di ciascuna il proprio nome, cognome e indirizzo.
8. Alla chiusura della Rassegna le opere saranno utilizzate per ulteriori esposizioni in centri culturali italiani e stranieri. Si chiede la collaborazione degli autori per la fondazione del “Museo di Umoristi a Marostica”; le opere pertanto NON saranno restituite.
9. Il Gruppo Grafico Marosticense si riserva il diritto di autorizzare riproduzione delle opere con la dicitura “Da Umoristi a Marostica”.1
0. Tutti coloro che parteciperanno potranno ricevere il catalogo gratuitamente allegando 7,00Euro per le spese di spedizione.
