Third International Productivity Cartoon Festival/ Iran

The period of contest was extended from 20/01/2011 To 10/3/2011
Two caricature festivals on productivity have already convened successfully and active participation of artists in depicting non-productivity has taken place. Now the third caricature festival on productivity is on its way. All artists are hereby invited to contribute to the world productivity culture and do their parts on promoting such a social issue and passing it on to the next generation. This year, as past years, world thinkers and scholars working on productivity will delineate the judgment indices as follows:
1. Genuineness of works in innovation and creativity
2. conveyance of productivity concepts and its pedagogical aspect
3. relatedness to scientific and theoretical aspects of productivity (as efficiency and effectiveness)
4. skill and techniques employed
Submitted works will fall under the two following categories:
A) critiques on current situation
B) directive works recommending wise solutions
The latter, which deals with solutions, has a specific privilege over the first one.

A maximum of 3 works
Only original art works are accepted (computer based copies are also acceptable, provided that the prints are signed by the cartoonist.
The computer version should be in TIFF format with 300-DPI resolution on a CD, and sent along with the print out.)
NO photocopies or photographs will be accepted
The size of the works should be A4 or A3
There is no limit as for the techniques employed for cartoons.
Art works must be submitted along with a completed a passport size photo and the CV of the artist.
The participating cartoons will not be returned
The organizers will do their best to protect all submitted cartoons from any probable damage, but takes no responsibility of the damages.
Secretariat of the festival reserves the right to publish and showcase the submitted cartoons.
The published catalogue of the festival will be sent to all whose works are published. Therefore, apply care in printing your address and contact information in the application form.
Signing the form means the artist has accepted all regulations of the festival.

The top ten works will be awarded by the festival sponsors.
The jury consists of international referees and include Art (caricature specialists), and science (Management thinkers) referees.
The Prizes awarding ceremony will be on the National Day of Productivity, May 22nd, 2011.

The first Antiterrorism International Contest 2011 Iran

The modern world is prey to wretched acts of evil totalitarians who see nothing but their interests. Indeed, architects of violence and terrorism have no other intention but to obliterate any other existence.
Their evil deeds know no boundaries and their targets include the public from all walks of life.
Iran, Iraq, Afghanistan, Pakistan, Lebanon, Palestine and are among territories that have for a long time been areas of interest for dominators. Although they have suffered great tyranny, these people stood strong to retain their pride and go down the history.
The objective of this competition is to unfurl the evil face of terrorism that creates agitation, concern and insecurity in societies by killing innocent people to achieve its objectives.

The number of sent cartoons is 5.

The 17th International Ankara Cartoon Festival 2011

The 17th International Ankara Cartoon Festival is going to be held from April 15th to 18th 2011 during the 82nd Children’s Day activities, which are celebrated in our country every year in on the 23rd April .

The international 7-77 Cartoon Competition will be organized under the 17th International Ankara Cartoon Festival. The aim of the competition is to make children familiar with the art of cartooning and to contribute the development of sensitivity towards humour by enriching their world with the help of cartoons you will draw.
All proffessional and amateur cartoonists will be welcomed to join in by drawing cartoons for children.
Cartoons can be drawn in black-white or colourful using any technique in either A4 or A3 size.
Cartoonists can join in the competition with an original cartoon that can be understood by children. Competitors must write their names, surnames and addresses on the back of their cartoons.
The deadline for the competition is February 15th, 2011.

The sole prize of the competition is the 7-77 PRIZE ($2,000) and the institutions’ commemorative plates.
The results of the competition will be announced on April 1st, 2011 in the local press and on the web.
The winner of the competition will be invited to Ankara from April 15th to 18th, 2011 as a guest for the activities to be held during the 17th International Ankara Cartoon Festival and will receive the award at the opening of the exhibition.
The International 7-77 Cartoon Competition catalogue and the certificate will be sent to those competitors whose cartoons were chosen by the jury and were printed in the catalogue.
Cartoons will not be sent back and all rights will be reserved by the Cartoon Foundation.
International 7-77 Cartoon Competition exhibition will be opened in various cities of Turkey and abroad.
